You have your steak. But a steak is no good if you don’t know what to season it with. There are multiple recipes you can use to grill your steak, and there are multiple different ones for each different type of steak. Here you will find delicious recipes that will elevate your barbecue from just simple salted steak, to mouth-watering goodness.
Spice and Dice Tomahawk:
Tomahawk
Salt
Garlic
Crushed Pepper

For this Recipe, you’ll need 4 items: The Tomahawk, Salt, Garlic, and Crushed Pepper.
Step 1: Preparation
First, get all your ingredients together. Place your Tomahawk on your cutting board, but leave it in the bone (it can actually be the best part). Start by seasoning it with salt on all sides first. The salt will draw out some moisture from the meat, and after a few minutes (30 to 60), it will reabsorb the water along with the salt, enhancing the flavor of the Tomahawk. Next, spread the garlic and the crushed pepper evenly across the steak. You can do them both at the same time. Don’t forget to season all sides, including the not just the “top” and “bottom”. Once the steak has reabsorbed the water, you are ready for step number 2.
Step 2: Grilling
For this step, make sure you have a timer (like your phone) next to you. Your grill needs to be at a temperature of about 500 degrees Fahrenheit before putting the steak in the grill. Once your grill is ready place the steak in. The following time measurements will give you a medium well steak. Set your time for three minutes. After that, you will rotate the steak 90 degrees, Do not flip the steak just yet. You are simply making it so that the bone of the Tomahawk is facing a different direction. This will make sure the parts of the steak that are directly touching the grill will not burn, and will ensure the steak gets an even crust. Set another timer for 3 minutes. When that is done, flip the steak. Follow the exact same steps but for the new side. After that, you’re done with the grilling process
Step 3: Rest the Steak
This step can confuse many people, but it is extremely important. When you are grilling the steak, its juices are trying to get out of the steak because of the heat. Resting the steak makes it so those juices can come back to the center of the steak. If cut right out of the grill, the juices will leave the steak into the cutting board, making your steak not juicy. What is also significant is that while the steak is resting, the center of the steak is actually getting some more time to cook. This means the you won’t be eating a cooked crust, with a raw inside.
Step 4: Cut it, and Savor it
It’s finally time to enjoy the delicious steak you’ve just made. For the Tomahawk, you’ll ideally want to cut it at about the length of an index finger. Maybe a bit more. Make sure to keep the fat in the meat. If grilled correctly, the fat should not be chewy, but should actually be extremely flavorful due to the seasoning, and it should melt in your mouth.
Drunken Chicken Hearts
Chicken Hearts
Wine
Purple Onions
Soy Sauce

For this Recipe, you’ll need 4 items: Chicken Hearts, Wine, Onions (preferably purple), and Soy Sauce.
Step 1: Preparation
First, get your chicken hearts, wine, soy sauce, and a bow that will fit all of the chicken and still have some space left. Place all the chicken hearts in that bowl. Now, for the wine and the soy sauce, the amount will change depending on what you prefer. If you like the strong salty and sweet flavor of the soy sauce, aim for a 60% to 40% ration of soy sauce to wine. If you enjoy the sweeter and more subtle taste of the wine, aim for a 60% to 40% ratio of wine to soy sauce. After you have decided how much of each you will want, start pouring them in the bowl, until the wine and soy sauce just about cover the chicken hearts. With your hands clean, mix the chicken hearts inside the bowl, so each and every one of them gets mixed with the wine and soy sauce. After some mixing, let the chicken hearts rest in the bowl for about 30 to 45 minutes. You will now have marinated chicken hearts.
Step 2: Separating the Onion
This step should be done while you let the chicken hearts marinate. You will want to get your onion and get each individual “strand” of each layer off of the onion.
Step 3: Chicken Heart to Onion Pattern
Now this is where you’ll make your chicken hearts look beautiful and even more delicious. With your chicken hearts and your onion pieces, you will begin by placing an onion on the barbecue stick, than two chicken hearts. Follow this pattern of one onion and two chicken hearts until the stick is almost full. Remember to leave a little bit of space between the chicken hearts, and between the chicken hearts and onions. Also remember to leave some space at the bottom of the stick so you can grab a hold of it. This will give your chicken heart stick an amazing aesthetic.
Step 4: Grilling Time
Place your chicken heart and onion stick in the grill, and leave it there until it is done grilling. You don’t want to let them go dry, since they’ll then become hard and rubbish, so be aware of that.
Step 5: It’s Eating Time
Now it’s the time to get your drunken chicken hearts out of the grill, and enjoy what you worked for. Hopefully you will feel the strong taste of the wine with the soy sauce, while still tasting the delicious flavor of the chicken heart itself. Bon Appetit.
